Thanks to all for a great race. First time infront of the wheel for almost a month so was quite rusty. But by baseline set up worked okay. Qualy was not too bad, but I suffered the normal issue where I don't get enough heat into the tyres until hot lap 2...so on 1 lap wonders I am about 1 s shy of my ultimate pace. No matter, it makes a good race setup :)

Race 1 was a mixed bag. Good starting position, (8th) I got a blaster away from the line with a little bit of wheel spin. But cold tyres, a nudge from teh rear and I was into the braking zone a bit hot. Sorry to anyone I tapped. Wasn't heavy contact and there were no spins...but still..felt bad :-( Held the outside line around the next complex and got back into a rythum, with some decent fighting. But coming through T9-10 chicane, it all went a bit wrong. So far through qualy and practice I had been able to pull out of here on full throttle. But a few laps in to the race, I got a tank slapper on under full throttle, and I was pitched into the wall....race ending type of wall contact :-(

Second race was a better affair. From the back of the grid, got some good over taking done up into 5th (thanks to those who were slower and being lapped - you were all really good and clean racers.).

Had a moment with Mr Healey coming out of T9 and 10, he seemed to ease to let me by, but I didn't expect it and caught his rear wheel. Up I went and damaged my front wing a bit. Not enough to warrant a pit stop but enough to knock about 1s off my pace. Totally my bad, and hope I didnt damage your car, Graham.

I tried to run the whole race on the same set of front super softs....changed the rears in the pitstop, but alas after 15 laps the tyres at the front went off. So I fell into the clutches of 6th and 7th. Shame cos up until then I was racing hard and well with Mr Bulgin. Was fun :)

Finished 8th, happy but expecting better. Maybe next time I will be able to race a bit harder.

Thanks all, and hope to see you on line soon.

Larry Here's what a fellow American would do>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Take the faster version of rubber offered by us good ol boys>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Tires are much quicker than TYRES:D

the rest of the info posted above is pretty solid otherwise.
