Unfortunately my new PC had to be returned to the shop (having a few niggly problems), so I am back to the old laptop again. Since I am getting desperate for some fun racing, I have just tried using the Laptop on line at Melbourne, but the results didn't look to promising, lost connection after about 7 mins and it looked terrible.
If I can manage to stay connected and don't look like being a danger on track, I'll try to join.

HeHe, I don't want your setup, just maybe some rear differential advice, is there one setting or another that helps with the rear slide out during breaking? thx, c yas tomorrow.

ok well if you want advices that i can do, on the differential, ok for the lock it depend on your gearbox setting, the shortter it is ( fast acceleration ) the lower your lock have to be, in the range of 5-15, vice versa, if you have a long gear ratio ( less acceleration ) for the lock go in the range of 15-30. as for the coast the higher it will be the more stable the car will be under heavy braking, i usually go in the range of 70-90. now pre-load, it affect how the car behave when releasing the brakes or when starting to apply the throttle, if the car have a bad transition from braking-acceleration decrease it, if the car is not responsive enough from braking-acceleration increase it.

another thing the gearbox setting affect all that so make sure its good and not locking the rear wheel when going down the gears.

when driving a FWD one way to get the car to turn is to use the throttle, with a RWD you can use that technic, what help the car to turn is to put more brake bias to the front, start by using 60-40 and move your way up slowly and increase the spring stifness at the front at the same time other wise to much weight will be on the front wheel and they will lockup and you won't turn.

hope that will help you, see you all tomorrow night :thumb:

I had a really good time, but I do need to complete more than 2 laps without running off the track.

Qualified last with a pretty crappy time (was over a 1second off from my earlier practices) then lapped pretty much alone until the end. I guess I finished 4th (only b/c everyone else retired) a minute behind 3rd. I think Chris lapped me 3 or 4 times and Yves a couple of times. Still all in all a lot of fun!! :)

Thank you Yves for putting it all together.

I'll reserve a spot, but I may be dependent on whether my new PC is back in time. If I don't have it by Friday night, I'll give my spot up to someone else.
