Just a punt seems a strong word. I was going considerably faster than you though due to you nearly hitting the car in front of you.

Nearly. I avoided all contact with the car in front... And yeah, punt is probably too harsh a word... Tap would be more like it - Sorry, I just seemed to have a target all over me for both races.

Cheers - N

Guys, I think it is time to shake hands and move on. Looking at the replay, it was an unfortunate racing incident and not worth all this debate. Neil, I'm sorry you were hit a couple of times but hopefully your next race will be fine. Don't forget you also managed to hit someone and send a couple of cars off track in Race 2 turn 1, so we all make mistakes occasionally. So long as we learn from them, all is well. :)

I'd love to sign up for this, but I will be just in the door from shooting the WRC Rally of NZ so I suspect I'd rather get some sleep :) I really like the radicals too :-(

Cheers - N

Many thanks, Yves and RaceDepartment. Despite only a few drivers on the grid, the race was very fun, nice and clean as I would expect. I´been waiting for such a long time a race here in RD. Unfortunatelly during the week I can´t run on RD servers due to my local time which is -3:00 GMT.

As I don´t like add-on tracks, so I was not sure if I would show up there. I downloaded the track and went to the server for a few laps. I loved it, the track is beatifull, very well done, and it prooved to be an excellent choice.

First race I finished 6th and 3rd on the second one. I had nice fights with my mate Marcos Ascensao, a terrible fight with Keith, and a quick one with Emmons.

Thanks everybody for that great time and for the fair play. It was a great sunday noon!!! I hope there´s more to come!!!

Thanks again, Yves. Nice event and nice driving. Man you´re damn fast!

Cheers

Like Neil am also a bit of a "Porto Virgin" (despite it now being one of my 2 "home tracks") ... good to know there are others out there and not just the seasoned pros :thumb:

In order to try to reduce the carnage I or others may cause on Thursday, I did a few AI races (actually, just had time to do the first couple of laps so far) - this helped me see where the "accident black spots" are, and where I need to be a bit more careful as the queue can back up quite a way in the tighter bits ...
Useful hint for others maybe?
