wise forum please give me your advice on triple monitor setup ?

Dear Wise Forum,

I have just read 'stefaandk' article below on the ultimate triple monitor setup and as sexy as the ROG screens are they are a bit pricey especially for 3 of them !!

Question ……….. I have been doing some research recently on monitors for my new rig build and are any of you guys out there using these in a triple monitor setup :- Acer XB270HA 27" G sync, 144hz @ 1920 x1080p.

I have read that these are a good monitor, singularly, as in bang for your buck, good size and features BUT how do they fair as a triple setup, running iRacing, Assetto Corsa and maybe Project Cars (but mainly iRacing) ;-) ?!?

I am purely PC based, my computer is windows 7 64bit Ultimate, 24gb Ram, cpu is 3930k, Mobo is a 2011 socket x79 Rampage IV extreme.

I have read interesting articles on iRacing forum and on here about v sync being on/off, seating position, horizon and distance from screens etc, and also not going 4k and maybe not even going 1440p as GPU may struggle running 3 monitors attaining a good fps.

I do have x1 EVGA GTX 780 classified with another on the way so could run SLI when i decide which monitors will do the best job !!!!

Any advice/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

First I world say, stay away from anything over 1920 x 1080p. The performance hit above that is very high. Depending on your budget, those monitors sound nice. I'm running 3 ips monitors with v-sync and have very little complaints.

I absolutely agree, So I have only gone and done it !! I now have x3 of these bad boys.

I am currently running iRacing on a DGM IPS-2701WPH 27" LED monitor running 2560 x 1440 and this is a sweet monitor but its now redundant ;-)
