Wireless controller for plates and button boxes?

Is there any Arduino or USB controller like the Zero Delay but wireless? That would mean that we could make a wireless rim with its own plate without the annoying spiral cord and without having to plug it and unplug it when you wan to swap rims.

Good luck with wireless.......no matter how good the connection they are always prone to random disconnects. I personally wont trust one in a endurance race.

The products proposed above are very expensive. I think I could maybe hack a wireless mouse. I only need 6 digital inputs.

Have a look at the 8bitdo bluetooth mini gamepad, its tiny and you may be able to solder onto the board. It has 12 inputs so should be enough for most wheelplates, you could even hook it up to a bigger battery pack if required. Only about £10, worth a look maybe.
