WipEout Racing Series

If you get a Quali Place, you can get a Race Pace

Welcome to the inaugural WipEout Racing Series, presented by Rami Saidy and hosted by RaceDepartment.

The Game is powered by Excel, so complicated formulas mean that there is a lot of excitement to be had.

In this series, you will need to have skill and good tactics in order to cross the line first.

Qualifying: In the thread (not PM) you post a number 1-100, and the closest to the randomised number that Excel gives me will be further up the starting grid

Race: Every Update will count as a round (1 Lap). When a round starts I will update the track and the current standings, what you do is in each round of a Race, you choose one of these choices (if you don't choose an item after a round, I will use your previous choice):

Turbo - Boost forward into a higher position in the race.

Shield - You are safe from any bombs from giving you a DNF, but you will move back in the race a random number of spaces (if your number is selected at random).

Bomb - When you use this, it may give some random people DNF's if their number is chosen (those with no shield), and make those using a shield to move backwards a random number of places. Be careful though, your number could be chosen and you would have caused your own DNF.
Also, if no active driver number is chosen, no driver gets a DNF.

This is how the excel system works for each item:

Excel generates a default number and everyone will move that many spaces

Turbo: Moves double the number of spaces for the default number and gets another roll of the dice and move that number of spaces as well

Shield: Just goes double (no extra roll)

Bomb: Just moves the original number of spaces (no double and no extra roll)

After I post an Update, I will say, 'Post your choices now!'

After 24 Hours (or whenever is suitable to post) I will post
'Anti-Gravity is in Motion' so then I would post the update.

If a driver doesn't post a choice on the first Round of a Race, they will by default move only one space every round until they post a choice.

You can change your choice every round.

If you are unsure about 'random', it is a system which determines what happens to each ship. For example:

Turbo: If I get the number 6, it means that everyone who chose Turbo will move forward a number 12 + another roll.

Shield: If a Bomb if used by someone, and I get the number 4, those with shields will move backwards 4 positions if their driver number is chosen (Example #7 - Saidy)

Bomb - Every time a bomb is used, two driver numbers will be picked at random. If the numbers apply to active drivers and they don't use shields, they will retire etc. Also, the bomb system does not only choose from the remaining driver's numbers, it is random from 1-24 every time.
