Hi!
I'm a beginner map creator for Assetto Corsa. For the past two months, I've been learning 3D and map creation and I've decided that I'd like to do a map of one of the areas I used to live in - Mežciems.
Mežciems is a suburb located in Riga, Latvia. The area consists of private homes, old soviet block buildings and as well as the Latvian name suggests - it's basically a suburb located in the middle of the forest, but not far from the City Center.
The suburb is also home of the Biķernieki race track. The track has it's history in real life and as well as an Assetto Corsa mod, gaining popularity between racers and drifters alike.
Currently, I've done the main roads, most of the buildings and as well there are plans to extend the map a bit further to include warehouses, car repair shops and make the map fun to explore. As well, layouts converting the map into circuits, drift layouts and more.
As well, there are plans to have some roads that lead outside of the suburb for circuit purposes and as well general exploration.
As the title suggests, the map is a work in progress. Textures, curbs are in progress and some models are incomplete - placeholder. The vegetation will be recreated with pine trees as soon as I manage to model them.
