Post update, I'm getting the most annoying Microsoft interaction since Clippy!

I play a lot of old games, so I get these invasive resolution-related popups now when the games load:

"Daaaaaamn, this looks blurry af! Imma try to fix it, k?"

No, go away.

"Yeah, but so blurry tho, amirite? Click here and I'll try to fix it"

Go away!

"Ok, it is pretty blurry tho. I can try to fix it, but you gotta..."

I have had a massive issue with the last big update, namely KB4103714.

I have now tried to use this three times and every time I do my pin number that I normally use to log on is not recognised and I cannot do anything with the "forgot your login" thing as if I click that I get the whirly wheel of death cursor that spins forever.

Not sure what I can do really? If I update I ahve to power the machine down manually it it simply loads up the last update, fine, until the cretinous 10 update software simply downloads it without me asking, installs it without me asking.

Take full admin control and just boot into OS no log-in needed
If your gear gets nicked login/ passwords protect nothing

Depends if you willing to start from scratch

First off I would do a image of existing OS, i mean if you want to keep it or restore it in case of problems doing this ...

Second download the latest Media Creation Tool for build 1803

Create a new USB install
Latest version tool gives you a up to date copy of windows ergo there is no updates to get other then a AV/Defender update ..maybe

Also you can disconnect internet, skip validation for now, pause updates,
turn off auto hardware update then use your drivers, do VCBasic, directX
as well

Make sure hardware updates is still off, go online, validate your OS then Pause updates

When you get proper setup do a image including system partitons
