Why do I have safety car instead of F1 cars?

I recently installed F1 2016 and 2017 mod to GTR2 and safety car is showing up instead of F1 car.
Can somebody help me? (im new to modding in THIS game. I modded Race 07 without problems)

because the menu GDB file calls a TAG which doesn't exist in any of your CAR files under "classes=" line.
Open a f1 .CAR file with notepad and check the good tag at classes="full, F1_2016_MOD"
then replace the wrong tag by "F1_2016_MOD" in your f1 2016 GDB menu

ask help to author's mod or post the same question in the forum where you have downloaded it, it is the best solution IMO

As said above, click on letter icon in RD top menu and send message to [RMS]Randolf because he is the author of the mod

I had similar problems. The solution was to extract the files first, then move them into the game folder (instead of dragging directly from the compressed file).

Also, I use winrar to extact the files instead of 7-zip. 7-zip has given me a problem once before.

I have had a lot of trouble with newer RMS F1- mods as well. What I found as an solution is to use "Tom's Quick Race" tool where you can choose exactly the cars of the mod, so create the grid and later activate it in menu (named for ex. "TQR1". All other things did not help. The RMS mods seem to cause trouble with other mods from my experiences. They are good (I recommend latest F1 2019 and to pimp the engines to 1000 hp for more realism) but they don't "like" other mods being installed. Maybe this helps.;-)
