What is the best differencial setting for corners?

As a novice about Simracing, one of the most difficult setting is Differencial.
There's Power(Lock) , Coast and preload. <--- in SimBin's setting.

For my knowledge(maybe I know nothing about Diff),
When I drive into a Corner, first step on Brake and it causes Coast work at the enter of corner.
and when I hit the apex of corner, step on Throttle and it causes Power work at out of corner.

Then, if there's two settings of Diff setting..
(The corner is curve to the right)

40 (power)/ 60 (coast) / preload.....(A)
60 (power)/ 40 (coast) / preload.....(B)

If there are two ends of diff 0%~100%

(A) means Left-wheel turn around two rounds more than Right wheel at Brake(coast)..if I chop 100% of coast by 10% then it means the length of 10 rounds of wheel.
and when it works in Throttle, also Left-wheel turn around two rounds more than Right-wheel.
In case of (B) if i take it same way...it goes same result as same as (B)

So i think it's nonsense...:doh2:

If I think it defferent way...
(same as..I chop 100% of diff by 10% then it means the length of 10 round of wheel)

(A) It's longer in Coast as much as two round of wheel length than Power,
So Braking length is two times longer than Throttle length.
(B) It's longer in Power as much as two round of wheel length tnan Coast,
So Throttle length is two times Longer than Braking Length.

Um...I don't know which is right,
maybe all of above is wrong.
and also my English is the worst.....:smile-big:

Please give some right knowledge of differencial and corner.

Thank you ahead.

Lower numbers = less diff locking. 100% would give a locked diff and 0% would be an open diff.

Power - on the throttle/accelerating, coast - off the power/braking

Higher coast gives better stability on the brakes but it will be worse turning in, lower will turn in better but you may start to get oversteer either on the brakes or at turn in.

Higher power in a RWD will cause more oversteer, in a FWD you'll get more understeer. Lower power in RWD will cause less oversteer but you may spin up the inside wheel, in a FWD car you'll get less understeer but you can spin the inside wheel.

Preload is for when the car isn't accelerating/braking and from what I've found affects the cars behaviour less than the other 2.

Base settings I use (before I've done much with the setup):

S2000 (FWD):
Power 20%
Coast 15%
Preload 1

S2000 (RWD):
Power 15%
Coast 30%
Preload 2

GT's:
Power 20%
Coast 40%
Preload 2

Thank you for your kind explanation.
and replying to my awkward question..thanks

However, Is there my misundersatanding for your meanning of
Oversteer and Understeer ? (Oversteer <--> Understeer)

Higher power in a RWD will cause more oversteer, in a FWD you'll get more understeer. Lower power in RWD will cause less oversteer but you may spin up the inside wheel, in a FWD car you'll get less understeer but you can spin the inside wheel.

Sorry for asking again.
Thanks
