What does the RACER community drive?

Just curious. I bought my 1st car last week, a 1996 Plymouth Neon coupe.

This thread has not been updated in years! I will confess to not having done much with Racer for a while, but this thread needs a bump.

1991 Dodge Power Ram 150, 318ci(5.2L), 4-spd manual trans.
Covered in previous owner's ugly paint, bondo, and other bodges.
However it is a suitable starting point for an off-road-but-street-legal beater.

:p Daily driver, for me...Little beat up in the pictures but... 1994 Chevrolet Camaro, 3.4 (207 cu in) V6. I need some under-the-hood shots, and it's been fixed up since I got the car. Hehe.

The problem is that I would be replacing the entire car with such an operation.
Any picture I have posted online has been literally the only angle where you do not notice tons of rust. And the bottom of the car is rusted heavily too, It does not really have much left of the original floor pans on the left side. just a bunch of panels stuck in.
Hell, the guy I bought it from said that it slipped off a lift or something and put a lump in the front right floor, of course it started rusting there too.

Lets just put it this way. The car looked like this a few years ago, you know what it looks like now. :p

The thing you have to remember about rust is that if you see it there is 2" to 5" hidden under the paint in every direction surrounding the visible portion. Even if the paint is not bubbling up. Bubbled paint just means there is no metal under that area. :p

About the only good/valuable parts of this car is the uncracked dashpad, the tires, some of the aftermarket gauges, the WS6 snowflake rims need to be cleaned up, the spare tire looks good. The steering wheel is not pristine, but not bad. hmmm. headlamps and tail lights are not bad.ok, starter motor and the clutch is not slipping yet.
I cannot think what else is in reasonable shape. Well, front anti roll bar and occasional steering bits I seem to remember not being rusted to ****. ooo The front brakes are nice, I like those. :)

For all the trans am parts that someone stuck on this car, they forgot one thing that packed slushy snow fills in!

hehehe It is a real Trans Am now!

I still love this car though. Good memories, and it DOES actually work quite well. The rust is pretty much the only deal-breaker that is bringing it down.
nice car man

Went to a self serve junkyard today, found some parts for my PT, like a switch panel with a 12v outlet, and an overhead console. Installed the new switch panel, will look into the overhead console to see what I need to get it working.

It seems that i have not told wich car I have :)
So, my first own car was a '90 Clio 1.2, but I drove Clio III.2 powered by the dCi 70 engine :)
Also, I drove a scenic II.2 powered by the 1.5dCi 105 engine
Then I drove a Espace IV.2 2.0dCi 150, and last year I bought my current car : Laguna III.1 2.0dCi 150
And that is all :D
