What cars/bikes have you owned...

Ever consider a cold air intake and a ecu reprogramming? It will give you a 30hp gain on a 91 Octane tune. That is on a stock motor just with a CAI added.

I did a 93 Octane tune with a Diablosport Predator for my truck and with my additional mods i gained 47hp just with the programmer.

So easy to increase hp to a reasonable amount on a V8 without spending a lot of money

Yeah Hiroshi it's something I'm very aware of mate, we've only had the car 3mths now. But I have already looked into the cold air intake kits, small price to pay for some more grunt, Ive seen the kits on ebay for AU$400-$500. It's currently fitted with a K&N filter in the stk intake, but they're only good for the fact they can be washed and re-used. The wife and I are considering a few other options as well, looking at maybe having a GTHO Shaker scoop fitted and connected to the air intake AU$1750, acts on the old RAMFLO principal, I believe its good for 45 to 50bhp :D, and looks really tough, the other option is to go all out and fit BIGGER cams and a perfomance retune, this has the potential to create upwards of 90 to 100bhp, but its the most expensive option $5k.
The CAI is the better option as far as cash flo is concered, and the fact I can fit it myself, also makes the V8's a little more responsive of the line ;), but most of all it's within my budget :roflmao:.
Cheers

Incredible how many cars you possessed!

I have my licence since 1999 but I owned only two! cars:
1994 VW Golf 3 1.6i [75 bhp] (05/01-07/05)
2005 Seat Leon 1 1.8 20VT [179 bhp] (07/05 - now - bought it brand new) :)

Next car in mind (my dreams...) Seat Leon 2 Cupra R [265 bhp] with software adjustments ro give it a 300+ bhp:confused: Well, just dreaming atm...as my 7-year old still is good!

Just as a reminder/information for all, who are not from "Western/Central" Europe or where prices are nearly as high as ours: One litre of 95 octane is worth 1.72 Euros here! This is stealing all my fun when driving fast...I once chased a Porsche at ~230 but no more presently:mad: I'm lucky I can run it with ~9 litres.;)

I like them Seat Leons, cool car! Wow fuel is expensive! I pay between $1.56/$1.60 Canadian per litre for 94 octane but i use way more fuel, 19/20 litres per 100 kms but worth every cent! :D

Only four cars for me until now:

1991 - Opel Kadett - Well, almost a car, most of times driving it was more like, driving a boat.
1993 - Alfa Romeo 33 1.5 - Like it, but give me many headaches.
1995 - Pegueot 106 XSI - Great little car.
2004 - Honda Civic Type R - Still in love with it.

I dont think it matters how many cars you've had mate, it's about how much you've enjoyed having them and the thrill of driving them IMO ;)

I'm Hoping to add a 1997 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV to my list :)

There is one here in town that i'm going to go look at on Tuesday, the price is good and if the car is in the good shape that the seller is claiming it to be, i'm going to buy it.

There is also a 1993 Evolution GSR i might go look at.

Go for the 1997 mate, they're awesome little beast and great rally cars too
Your fuel prices in Canada are roughly the same as ours here in Oz, Au$1.65-1.72 for 95octane, theres little difference in our exchange rates too, unlike the Euro.

Andreas, trade the 05 Leon in on the Cupra 2 R and fullfill your dream mate :D I had dreamed of owning an XR8 for years and im so glad I finally took the plunge, dont regret it one bit. Even though it's hungry on fuel 16ltr per 100klm, We pay AU$1.65-1.72per litre for 95octane but it's definately worth every cent for the thrill and satisfaction of driving such a car:)

So I went and had a look at the 97 Evo. I took it for a test drive and immediately realized that being on the right hand side driving in a country that is left hand drive and that drives on the right side of the road is something I won't get fully used to. Waiting to turn left at a intersection during peak rush hour is quite unnerving.

The seller also declared that vehicle was involved in a front end accident and showed me where the damage was and there was enough buckling around the engine bay for me to not want the car. The car was fine and solid when I drove it but I may have problems trying to resell the car.

Sadly no Evo, but this weekend there is a auto auction coming up and a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 is being auctioned off along with other cars but the Mazda is the only car im interested in. Im going to go bid on it.

Rupe, Freaking awesome!

Well in Canada/U.S we don't get as many cool cars as Europe/UK but i have owned in my past:

1976 Ford Pinto w/ modified 2.3L engine
1978 Chevrolet Monza Coupe w/ 305cid V8
1978 Datsun 510 wagon
1974 Toyota Corolla 2dr wagon
1980 Renault 5 GTL
1988 Renault GTA ( R9/11)
1990 Ford Escort LX 4dr
1994 Ford Escort LX 2dr Sport
1996 Ford Escort GT
1998 BMW E36 M3 convertible ( had it only 1 month)

And now i currently own and love my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 8 (mildly tuned) has @ 510/515 hp.

Oh and i have use of my girlfriend's 2013 Ford Mustang V6.

A new addition to my list, I bought a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 from a auto auction today  a white one fully loaded with 58000k's. What a cool car it is! 263hp, 6spd manual, pretty quick car!. It's nice to have another vehicle that handles well. My GC handles well for a truck but still not the same as a car. I'm going to use the Mazda as my daily driver and use the GC for goofing around. Next project for truck will be suspension, stronger transmission and a supercharger. I'm hoping to get the truck done for next summer.

Hehe, I'm just as quick in the Mazda as my girlfriend is in her 2013 Mustang V6 which has 305hp :D

The 2008 Speed3 is better than the new generation one :D

Really? well either way i'm happy plus a brand new 2012/2013 costs 30k+ and i can't afford that. I got the 08 quite cheap 10k i was willing to bid up to 12k which is going price used from a private seller.

A day into having the car and i'm already thinking about ordering this.

http://www.mazdaspeedstore.com/mazd...-Pack-3253-Ft-lbs--291-Wheel-Horse-p-228.html and a Cobb's engine tune kit.

or this
http://www.mazdaspeedstore.com/mazd...Pack-326-Ft-lbs--309-Wheel-Horsepo-p-229.html

I'm aiming more towards the Stage 1 with a Cobbs engine tune kit. It's a couple hundred bucks cheaper than buying Stage 2 and i'll get more than 309hp.

Since putting up this list i've also had,

2008 Mazdaspeed 3
2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS both were short lived and gone. I really regret trading the Mazda in for the Cobalt, the Mazdaspeed 3 was better car and should of just kept it.

I still have the GC SRT-8, no plans to get rid of it yet, still very happy with it. I recently bought myself a Honda CBR 250R,

Last September my girlfriend traded in her 2013 Mustang V6 for a 2010 Mustang GT500 :inlove:  and she absolutely loves it.
