F1 2012 Wet Conditions - Can't compete

Hi all,
A nice tried and tested discussion, but I need a little help.

Currently in the Ferrari, first season in that car. Second driver.
I've had a few races, quali's and practices in wet conditions. All of them have left me right down the bottom of the table.

By the first sector on almost all wet tracks (apart from america), I'm around a second down.
Even with the auto wet setup, I can't compete.

I'm not locking tires up, I'm not drifting/aqua planing, I'm not even spinning up the wheels on corner exits.
Tried it with and without assists.

Does anyone else have these kinds of problems?

Have you tried custom setups? PM me and I'll share my setups for the tracks your struggling on.... Or have you tried some different setups? There are plenty in the Setup threads

I agree about quali. I can't come close in the wet. In the races, with a decent setup, I can compete and win.

You can but there's a bug. If you use fast forward options or "go to track", "back to garage" the AI bugs the times. Just play without any fast forwarding.

If you're not spining,aqua planing,then i think that you're not pushing hard enough !

Driving on WET doesn't necessarely mean,driving slowly ,you need to push to the limit

I download a pirelli tire mod and it screwed up all wet tires

even pit crew wont put wet tires on for when it's raining

Does anybody have any good menu and or wheel options to counter-act the disaster that is a wet race in this game? Something like turning TC on, raising the linearity and/or increasing brake and acceleration saturation?

Practice. Yeah, I think that's what it's called. Oh and custom setups, they are a must for wet races, more or less.

But what do you do about a dry Qualy with a wet setup?

Your setups are the best for this game btw.

Your setups are the best for this game btw.

Use a wet setup for both sessions. You can still adjust the wing settings under parc ferme rules, so you can switch back to the full wet setup for the race (well, you can't load the setup but switch the wings back to where you want them to be) and have a little more top speed for the qualifying.
