Depends on what username you are talking about ;) Your forum user will be renamed when your license application is approved, so you don't have to worry about that - just keep in mind that you'll have to logon with your full name or your email address afterwards.

As for the in-game username, the easiest way is to create a new profile with your full name - however, if you want to keep your stats, configuration and so on, you can create a new profile, then copy your existing profile's files (somewhere over at %USERPROFILE%\Documents\SimBin\RACE 07\ - not exactly sure, not at home right now ;)) over to the new profile's directory. Finally, you'd have to rename the .PLR file present in the profile folder, IIRC.

Yup, just needed to know about the forum name. I've got Race07 handled. Thanks again!

In the very beginnig I was always keen in getting videos or replay files from very good drivers. I sometimes took a track map and wrote down their lowest corner speed and my one for each corner to compare it. Then I took their setup (if possible) and tryed to "imitate" what they do (line, braking points, corner speed,...). That helped me a lot.

The biggest task with this car is to feel and explore its limits. The massive grip makes it hard to guess how fast you can really go. As a benchmark you could choose a simple corner (for example the last right hander) and try to drive it as fast as me. Once you achieved how quick to go there, I guess the overall imagination for grip and cornering speed has improved...

PS:
As a PrestoGP member I have very much experience with MMG F1 2007 and now the F3000. So even if I didn't really drive the FRR before, I had no big broblems to adapt to it.

On the other side I don't drive "cars with roofs" frequently, so a time trial with a GT car could look differently. ;)

'twas a small grid, but still good fun :)

Tinkering with the setup a bit, I still hadn't a very good car going - pretty okay, though, as I managed to qualify 4th/7.
Starting fairly well, I utterly misjudged the cold tyres/brakes and ran wide into T4. Now last, the hunt was on - passed David a bit later and arrived at a nice four-way-battle with Dennis, Valerio and Nuno, who had dropped back - passed Dennis, who, unfortunately, went off immediately afterwards as I might've braked a bit early - sorry about that!
After passing Valerio, I was gaining the tiniest bit on Nuno at about 1-2 tenths per lap. With all drivers done with pitting, I was surprised to find myself in front of Nuno - guess he had an off or a problem in the pitlane.
Now in P3 with 15 seconds to Nelson in front and another 15 to Nuno in 4th place, I could relax a bit - even more so when Nelson turned out to be unreachable and Nuno lost more time - brought the podium home safely :)

Thanks for racing everyone, see you next week!

I Logged ten laps this morning then about the same in pre race practice. I was fast, or I felt so but Reik Major was majorly faster. Qualified third, and got up to second quickly had a fairly lonely race, but this track is among my favorites so I enjoyed my self . Finished second, so I feel back to my normal self. Yesterday was merely a warm up for all my time away on vacation.

I feel like I may have exceeded track limits multiple times, I will check my replay and report back

A few tweaks to my setup and my driving got me a full second faster than last time we were here.

But at the drop of the flag I could barely hang on to Val and Nuno as I waited for Bjorn to arrive. I held Bjorn off for a lap or two and tying to stay in the mix got too close coming up to T1 and had to move fast to avoid him on braking, off to the infield and a warning shouted out that I was going to be sliding wildly over to the outside of the track. Luckily no contacts! That put me back a spell and when David left all there was to do was to watch Reik come closer and closer to lapping me.

I must have been sleeping, Nuno and Val had been 14-16 seconds ahead of me and then they were just 6! Then only 3 and I could see them sliding spinning and they let me by, maybe a two tire change for them?

Off to the STCC tracks for a while, catch you there.
