Ward-Silverline and Silverline Racing Official 2012 Launch

Following the announcement of the newly formed constructor’s partnership between Ward and Silverline, the team officially presented their 2012 challengers at a special press conference at the Silverline headquarters. The WF102 will be driven by the World Championship line up of Blair Disley and Karim Wezenberg.

Ward Team Principal Andrew Ward commented:
"Partnering Silverline in 2012 will be a real boost for everyone at Ward, not only will it secure our future in FSR, it will also allow us to take advantage of Silverline's vast resources. Signing Blair & Karim, I believe we have two fast consistent drivers that will work hard for the team. From the workforce at Ward-Silverline HQ to our test team & race drivers, everyone will be pushing for results in 2012."
Silverline Co-Manager Ben Ross commented:
"FSR is a very demanding level of racing and the community is such a great aspect. It was great to see someone passionate about having a strong season while also understanding the dedication to team work and the social aspects of running a race team. Teaming up with Ward will give us the opportunity to compete at the WC level again with a realistic time commitment and will also allow us to share the experience which is just as big an aspect for us. We are very excited about our lineup this year - Blair has a wealth of experience and delivered with great consistency last year and Karim will have an opportunity to really prove himself; I am really looking forward to seeing what he makes of the opportunity."

This season, Silverline will once again field two teams in both the WS and WT divisions within FSR. Silverline also unveiled an updated version of their 2011 car, the SL-11/B, which retains most of last season’s external features. The Silverline Racing WS team will feature Finnish rookie, Marko Vuori and up and coming driver, Matheus Maia. Rizwan Sarwar will retain his WS seat on the Silverline Academy team and Jacques Olivier will pair him, with a second chance to prove himself. Mo Selvarajah will partner fellow Englishman Tim Brook for Silverline Racing on the WT front while talented American driver Auston Harris will be paired with Mikko Soukas of Finland for Silverline's World Trophy Academy team.
