VRC: American Racing Championship
While we finish the final details on our last Prototype Series car, I would like to introduce you our latest work: The American Racing Championship series! The first car of this classic american series is in its final stages of production, and it shouldn't take much longer until release!

We have two cars planned which will be released as paid-premium content individually, so here it goes the first one:

wow looking very good ! :inlove:
I can't recognize the car tho, what is the name of it's real conterpart ?
It's a Camaro silhouette car, they ran near identical ones in a few classes so idk if "American Racing Championship" is IMSA GTO or what

Sweeeet. Alright, now that the series is out of the way, let's guess the second model.

Being that this is called "America Racing Championship" I'm going to guess it's this pretty girl:

I was hoping it'd be the mid 90s IMSA car, with the large endplates that Maxwell ran in the sexy silver and red STP livery but that's a generation removed from this car, so I'll go with the previous gen 'Stang.

Why only two cars?, I think make all grid (3,4or 5) its better than 2

Obviously. Looking at other sims however, you get the choice of up to 3 cars, or even only one in case of the most reputable one. So I think we´re sitting pretty good in between there.
Recreating a whole series in the quality we aim for is incredibly time and resource consuming, and not necessarily our target, as history of our previous mods might tell.
Nevertheless, I think the choice of cars we made will provide a good glimpse into the legendary days of this awesome series.

At least help us narrow it down. Will it be the from the same season? 1988 i'm assuming. At least give us that :D

Fantastic work guys. A rather unique series and puts a spot light on lesser known cars. What sort of tracks did these cars race on? I assume Watkins Glen and Laguna Seca which we already have represented as quality stretch made work in AC.

Excellent choice of cars. I've been itching for these cars as long as I can remember. Here's some info about the car:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1988-chevrolet-camaro-z28-iroc-z-2/
I remember seeing a thread about this car as well which had quite a lot of technical info.¨

Also:

Two difficulties with ac with these cars is the rear axle and the diff. Ac does not have camber or toe for the rear axle which probably hurts these kinds of cars and the rear diff is either spool or detroit locker and the latter can not be fully created with in ac.

Man, any one of these four would be aces:

Merkur XR4TI
RX-7
Corvette
Celica

I mean... sure there were lots of other gto cars but my gut says it's one of these.

As we already have a V8 monster, that would be pretty annoying to get a second one, isn't it ? :D
So that's why my guess would be
- Nissan 300ZX Turbo
- Audi 90 IMSA GTO
- Mazda RX-7 GTO

But, considering that the top 2 cars are alrerady in a sim, I would go for the delicious Mazda RX-7 GTO :inlove:

The legendary-all mighty-be all end all-audi 90 is a confirmed "no". The next car will be from 1988 as well.

Edit: Now it's being told it's from 1989. I don't know what to believe anymore :D
