Anyone know if there is any plans for them to optimise VR? Esp in built up areas or at night time jeez.

I run the Vive with the lowest settings in game and still have big stutters. It might be partly due to bugs in Steam VR and the new resolution scaling function.
I can manage to drive two jobs before having to retire due to a weak stomach :(

If your talking about the 'rubber banding' effect or stutters then try one of these below when your driving

ctrl+num1 Disables ASW
ctrl+num2 45fps lock
ctrl+num3 45fps w/ASW
ctrl+num4 Auto/reset

I use ctrl+num3 to prevent the rubber banding effect too.
Since last build of ETS2 the rendering has improved fortunately.
Developer SCS have said in a stream last month they're working on porting the engine to DX11 and that could happen sometime this year. DX11 should give another boost to the rendering.

I can confirm that CTRL 1 and CTRL 3 are the way to go. It will get rid of the rubber banding effect. I use CTRL 1 most of the time and in some city areas I switch to CTRL 3. I run with SS 1.4 in the ini file and medium to high settings. It took some tweaking but the game sure is worth it.

I only got ETS2 at the weekend but i have to say VR performance with High/Ultra graphics and locked to 45fps works very well for me (gtx 970), which surprised me somewhat.
