Videograbber software for longer sim recordings?

Hi there

Sort of new into streaming though I was among the first on Youtube some 15 years ago, mostly used for watching though, except for shorter videos some 11 years ago using FRAPS by then.

Now I use freeware OBS Studio for grabbing my sim gaming.
My experience is problems when videos are more than 20-30 mind in lenght.
For instance some demonstration videos of sim performance combined with old laptop and old PC i5 4core behaviour in different sim engines.

After a while the stream seems compressed too much and very inconvenient to try and jump e.g. an hour in the video chops or even halts.

This is even before I upload the video on YT. At first I thought YT did something good to the compression format but seems problem is the same as trying to jump in videos with VLC-player.

i've tried output to be saved to both same M.2 SSD disk as my sim games and to different SATA-II SSD disk with my main OS, but result is the same, unfortunately.
I'm aimin to use standard resolution 1920x1080 for both base and output, just as video settings in my sim games.

Any advice on either OBS Studio settings or another videograbber?

Well, my "solution" was to downscale Video Output Resolution to 1280x720, leving both Video Base Resolution at 1920x1080 and Display Capture at standard 1920x1080 size.
Guess it's OK since I think max YT resolution is 720p....
