video config broke?

hi,
running an ati 4870 on vista x64, jus updated the drivers for said video card and now when i start rfactor the video config comes up but all options are blank!!?? and i cant even close the config box! try to start again and same happens (so cant get rfactor to start at all!!), i jus end up with loads of config boxes i cant close!!
rolled back video card drivers and same happens!??
any help please? thanks in advance

did you install with UAC off and run as administrator? try that.

Well neither did I have uac on and I was also the administrator when I installed rFactor and what happened to me was the same issue you had. Then I ran it as an administrator and my problems were solved but for the graphics not running at my preferred resolution so I had to set that manually.

Have you got an rfactor folder in your documents folder?

tried running as admin with no joy and i dont have an rfactor folder in my documents. but i hav managed to get rfactor running by manually editing the config.ini, i have the resolution set but i cant get 32bit colour set! could someone please post their config.ini settings? (preferably on full settings)
