Whoa boy are these cars fun! Very forgiving unlike the F3K car or the horrendus FBMW car.

Jesse was the class o fthe field tonight on speed alone by a country mile. OK 2 seconds but in these cars thats like a mile! LOL

Race 1 finished 4th right where I Q'd. I had a great battle with PEter on the opening lap and he slowly pulled away about a 1.5 seconds a lap after that. I was sloppy at times over driving the car which is kind of easy to so in these if you main ride is a touring car........

R2 I get a good start and am P1 at T1 and putting some distance on the field. I need more and push pretty hard to extend. Peter has managed to stay in sight and we are having a great battle. Lap 2 I go I slide and dive to the grass to avoid Peter who is close behind. I resume P2 with Stefan in tow and peter ahead by 2 seconds or so. Now I am having agreat battle with Stefan. We are equal on speed overall with each of us showing where we are stronger and weaker. Great stuff!

We are all within a second of each other for another 4-5 laps. I am approaching the left hander before the main straight and get a punt from Stefan who has totally missed his braking point and hits me square the diffuser from 5 lengths back or so. Oh well it happens but we have let Peter off the hook now and we reume the fight still 2nd & 3rd. Later i the lap I just clip the gravel and Stefan gets by me.

Meanwhile Jesse has now gotten within a .25 of us and thats trouble no maatter who you are! So I have an equal driver in front of me and a waaaaaaaay quicker pilot on my six. ain't racing fun!? LOL

Suddenly Jesse is gone! Maverick has shot him down? no NVIDIA has a screen freeze and JEsse is in the gravel. Meantim I get a great run on Stefan down the straight and pull inside and get a wheel inside his wheelbase approaching the T1 flyer. I consoder playing chicken with him but lift a hair early to allow myself good visibility and line thru T1 hoping for another opportunity to pass later thats not so risky for us both. I lose my line and lose time to Stefan.

I chase Stefan but he's not making any major mistakes and I stuff it in the barrier with 3 to go relieving him from the pressure.

Had alot of fun with you guys! As Dennis pointed out, Jesse was more than willing to impart some real world set up knowledge to us and I for one used it in my setup.

Tghe racing Club USA is brand new guys and we are really going to try hard to get it bigger and better. PLease spread the word! And above all, write a race report! Reading about the fun you have at these events is what gets others in volved!

See you tonight at BRands Hatch in the old school 87 WTCC cars!

Neil Gaunt did a whole 80min race without stopping at all

typical scotsman eh

But then he must parked his car somewhere or must have had an extra tank. I remember that I survived the 60 minute race without pitting but something like 1l fuel left (after starting with a full tank).

Or he drove only 50km/h max (that in 6th gear slightly downhill) :D.

Bram, how about a vote for the forced pit stop ?

^^ I remember that ... some far eastern circuit whose name I forget now that was great fun in the minis and was shaping up to be a last lap showdown between about 6 of us when there was an overambitious plonker messed it up and took about 3 people out :(

ok did some laps with the E30 and with a base setup ( no dampers adjustment ) i managed a 1:34:906 and there is still plenty of improvement to do so mid 1:34 in praccy 1 is doable, low 1:34 maybe high 1:33 in praccy 2 and mid to low 1:33 and with an exceptional lap maybe high 1:32 in qualy. now let see what can i do with the alfa

ok after only 4 laps with a very basic setup i managed a 1:34:6xx with the Alfa so its clear that the Alfa is way faster on Brands Hatch so i'm thinking that in qualy i should be able to be in the 1:32 easely with the alfa

Did you guys do the laps on the leader board on a training server for this event or on the hotlap server (I did not see a training server last night)?

Yeah it was on the mini server ... not the hotlap server.
BTW Did a few laps this morning on there and dropped a few tenths off my time (in practice mode) mainly for the hell of being quicker than Nigel :p ... but was really trying to work on improving my setup cos the one I have is pretty rubbish, but no matter what I did, it went worse :S

LOL i was woundering when you was going to get round to beeting my time, and i was using default setup 35L of fuel.........oh i was .7 up on another lap at the 2nd split but screwed the final sector up with exitement hehehe
