understeer / front weight bias

i am trying to understand more about setups and physics of cars lately, and this is something which bothers me, and doesn't fit into my simple logic

so there is one site which says: "Understeer occurs when traction is lost at the front wheels while cornering"

on the other hand, reading about different setups, I noticed that front weight bias will increase understeer.

doesn't more front weight bias mean more grip and more traction? and opposite goes for rear wheels? shouldn't less rear weight increase oversteer? what am i missing?

    can someone explain it. thanks
