This will officially be my first race back as premium in 3 years! Never played the game nor the track nor the car, so I will be 'cramming' before the event....hopefully i can sort out all the technical stuff like discord (still not sure what it is exactly) and crew chief. THanks!

Same here mate LoL.... never drove any openwheeler but I'll hardly fighting for the last position
Discord and CC are very simple.
CC is the "must use" app IMO, especially the spotter part!

Discord is a lot of things, but we're just interested in the voice chat feature. I think everyone should be on voice comms if at all possible, because it greatly increases the social atmosphere of our clubs. It also allows you to ask for advice on anything you're not sure about, and to hear me say "cold tyres, cold brakes" before every race. (Though not nearly as well as Sir @Kenny Paton!)

As for Crew Chief, as Balazs says, it's invaluable. I use it solely for the spotter function. It's surprising how bloody useful it is having an audio cue for when there are cars alongside, even if you're in VR like me. It greatly reduces the chances of an unintentional incident so that's why we recommend it.

Any issues setting them up, just post here and we'll get your sorted.

Yeah there was talk about switchin to discord in the AC events like 2 months ago, but so far were still on ts. tbh I prefer it that way

Clubs should have already switched to Discord since that's been deemed the platform of choice on RD now. It's down to individual club staff to sort it out though. I can't blame the AC club for sticking with TS as long as possible... if it were up to me, we would never have switched in the first place.
