Track Violation AIW

Morning all,

Which values need to be edited in order to stop the track warning violations on 3rd party tracks? I used to know this but after a lengthly break from AMS i appear to have forgotten.

Thanks

Why not disable the track cut warnings from the settings menu.

Its possible to edit the AIW, but not always effective.

wp_dwidth=(22.086,30.000,0.000,0.000) the 3rd and 4th factors modify the track edge distance +/- for the cut track. If you search and replace ",0.000,0.000)" with ",9.999,9.999)" for example then in theory that could effectively disable the CT... assuming the track edge is correctly defined and all the cut track values are 0.000.

Take care not to accidentally replace any other strings that match ",0.000,0.000)"

Ok, thank you very much for the advice.

Yep, I have used this many a time to fix tracks for online races. Works like a charm. You definitely need to be careful to check the [PITS] as often times these can be changed when you mass edit the text file. Also sometimes the "wp_dwidth=(22.086,30.000,0.000,0.000)" sometimes the 0's are not all 0's and require extra time going through the file to edit every line.

@Dann Murillo is our local expert at this (not counting super-guru @Gringo!!).

We know from experience that sometimes slight warping while playing online can trigger cuts that do not appear when you think you are taking the exact same line offline.
