Tom Blomqvist, runner up of the 2014 European Formula 3 Championship, will make the move up into DTM this season with BMW.
The 21 year old Brit, who is the son of Swedish Rally legend Stig Blomqvist, has raced in the European Formula 3 Championship since 2012. In his rookie season Blomqvist finished 7th respectfully, and placed 7th again in the 2013 Championship.
Blomqvist, joins a team of highly talented drivers including: 2014 World Champion Marco Wittmann, 2011 World Champion Martin Tomczyk, 2012 World Champion Bruno Spengler, former-F1 driver Timo Glock and former Red Bull Junior teammate Antonio Felix da Costa.
The opening weekend for the 2015 DTM season begins on the 1st May at Hockenheim, which also marks the new format of racing for the series which consists of having two races a weekend rather than one.
