do you have to qualify to get to race?

No, that just determines your grid position. If you don't set a Timed lap in Qualifying it will place you behind the person with the slowest timed lap.

Sorry i havent done a race report guys i have been flat chat with study. I will try to get one up, ive got some great shots of me getting airbourne through T5. Managed to get up on 2 wheels then all 4 in the air.

Also Keith have u got footage of the collision we had in the first prac session when u sent me on roof?

Couldnt pass him, couldnt outbrake him couldnt do anything apart from staying behind him in the dirty air with oil from his car spilling on my visor lol.

Sorry about all that oil on your visor Abdul. That's the last time I listen to Birney and install one of those trailer hitch BBQs on the back of the car before the race. That thing just flings oil everywhere!

Just for future reference to all:-

Please, in my events, no discussions of laptimes ahead of the event.

Best times ahead of the event generally mean very little once you've got a dozen other cars around you on the track, which is where it counts.

So let's leave the whole time thing out, and enjoy what counts - the racing.

I mean, something like, if it's a multi-class mod like the Historix, "I'm quicker in the Cortina thatn the Alfa" is absolutely fine - just keep the times out of it.

thanks for this, yves... a lot of people deride the wtcc-x as being arcade, but i personally dig them hard....

race 1 - i had the most focused and intense and simply lovely dahling 2.5 laps of my life at nords... immense stuff.... tunnel vision focus... running 9th for most of it... then a coupla silly spins in the last half a lap ruined it.. gak!

race 2 - lost my splitter on lap 1 at the corner at the end of the uphill climb before karrussell... broke half a fraction too late for a little bit of deep action... pitted, got a new nose, totally last without a hope in the world... fade out....

dennis - no worries man, wasn't even sure if i'd got a little slap in that incident or not... but it didn't effect owt... :wink:

ps. sucks to all those who quit after race 1....

pps. there is no need, in the name of all that is good and holy, to post a "i'm off now have fun" message when you're out of the 2nd race.... really really annoying... really.
