RaceDepartment is a fantastic website for sim racing, modding and gaming. However, in corners of the forums that you might not have visited, there are some fantastic threads you will enjoy. Here are a few of them.
Formula FG Championship
Heading into its fifth season, Formula FG is a fantasy career simulated on the game GP4. RaceDepartment users can take the role of team managers or drivers and race in a mimic F1 season around a voted-for calendar of circuits. Each race is simulated and recorded, with commentary being provided by series moderator @Aidan Keranen, and sometimes special guests. The banter that can start is fantastic.
After each race, teams and drivers are awarded (imaginary) prize funds which they can then spend to improve the car and driver. At the end of the season, a champion is obviously crowned. If you like creative fantasy liveries and feel like there aren't enough races to watch in full online - this is the series for you. You can invest very little time into it - making buys every week or so - or you can delve right in, watch every race fully and sometimes even join in commentating.

RaceDepartment Forum Racing
Do you spend a lot of time on RaceDepartment? Do you spend every moment you can refreshing the website to see what new posts have been made in your favourite threads? Do you think you are online more than other people? Well then, Forum Racing is for you. Entering it's 28th season, Forum Racing is a game where the moderator posts a Race Start, and you have to post Finish as soon as you can afterwards, with points awarded for each successive finisher. The annual festive tradition of Paranoia is personified by this fantastic game of yuletide escapology. The aim of the game is simple - don't hear the song Last Christmas by Wham! Ah yes, we're all racing fans, and unfortunately for others, it has seeped out into real life. What do you do that only other F1 fans would get? Do you walk the racing line? The winner is declared by the person who set the challenge, and the winner then sets the next challenge.
