Four days until the last race of the season... check out the new spotter guide for the RDLMS by Vesaro Thrustmaster Six Hours of Sebring!

The last race of an incredible season is this weekend and it has been a brilliant year of racing. With six action packed hours of (virtual) sporting excellence still to go, and a few new faces joining the grid, let's take a look at the spotter guide for the sixth and final round of the 2017 RaceDepartment Le Mans Series by Vesaro - the premier endurance championship here at RaceDepartment.com.

Prototype Class

This is our top category that contains the fastest and most technological vehicles of the championship. Run under prototype regulations and featuring both closed and open cockpit style cars, the Prototype category is not for the faint hearted thanks to the high speed, fierce direction change and often very close racing on circuit whilst weaving between a packed field of GT specification cars. Truly a test of the finest endurance racing drivers ability, pace and concentration.

Although the Prototype championship is already won thanks to a near faultless season from FEEDER Ragnar Simulator, plenty of points and honour are still to be fought for at the Thrustmaster Six Hours of Sebring this coming weekend.

19 cars represented by 75 drivers will be joining the grid in Florida this Saturday, however some of the teams and faces you might not be familiar with if you have followed the season so far.

In for Sebring are the #29 Push Rod Racing outfit fielding an Oreca 03 Nissan for Ivan Rico, Ferran Grau, Jorge Fernandez, Aitor Sintes and Fernando Cerrato. Push Rod are joined at Sebring by the #30 Alpine 450b of the Deltec Racing International outfit, fielding a car for the first time for drivers Rob Timpen, Christo Nieuwoudt and Jarrod Van Der Weid. Both machines looking spectacular in their new liveries and no doubt both squads are eager to get out on the circuit for the first time this Saturday 18th November.

Disqualified from the category for Sebring are the #22 JIM Racing Team and the #28 Elements Racing outfit.

GT Class

With the series wrapped up already in the Prototype class it is still very much all to play for in our GT category of racing, with three teams still mathematically in with a shout of the championship at Sebring and series front runners 11000 Bit Simulator looking to cling on to a slender championship lead heading into the final round.

The GT class has been nothing short of spectacular all year long this season, sharing some of the limelight for some of the best on track action of the whole series as these beautiful and exotic Grand Touring cars have fought tooth and nail for what has seemed like practically every minute of racing since our green flag all the way back in Interlargos.

21 cars represented by 97 drivers look set to take part in the Thrustmaster Six Hours of Sebring this weekend, and we even managed to squeeze in a brand new team! Welcome to Alexander Jones and Zack Roberts in the #126 Corkscrew Team Satellite Porsche 997 RSR, entering the series for the first time and no doubt looking to make an impression with distinctive silver German machine.

Gone from the series due to disqualification are #124 Panda Racing team, removed from competition due to a no show last time out.

We have seriously enjoyed bringing you some top level endurance racing during 2017 and are mighty proud of the on track product produced by our brilliant teams and drivers.
