I've had this rough mod for a while but I'm not planning on pushing it any further so I figured I would release it as it is.

Like I said it's pretty rough, it uses a free model from the internet as a place holder as it was more of a physics experiment. So as a result feel free to take any of the data, and modify it / redistribute in any way you want.

To get it working

  • Make sure AUTOFLIP_RECOVERY=0 in...

would it be possible to use the "Blurred rim" system to give the prop a nice look...? Or the brake disc shader, I found out that its not needed to be linked to a WHEEL_or SUSP_ Empty... just curious :D

and how do you create thrust in this?

It might be possible but I cant think how currently. The problem I see is the blurred rim would rotate around the suspension axis, so I don't think it would keep the correct pivot for the propeller. Maybe a brake disc shader might work. I was planning on making my own model but time is a bit limited so I've not put much work into polish, but I'm happy for anyone else to take the data and make something from it.

The thrust works by using negative drag, so once the engine has you above a certain speed on the ground negative drag kicks in and pulls you forward while in the air :)

Nice toy. Only downside for me is that my Fanatec V2 wheel rattles as hell even when in the air. It's like I am constantly driving on kerbs...takes the fun a bit out...
And I don't have external sound.

Am I doing something wrong ?
Every time I get off the track path itself game teleport me to box. Same as when I drive rally cars if I go a bit more off track - box. Is there some option to be turn on/off or something ?
Thanks for the plane btw, now I don't have to go to flight simulator to fly. =)

It doesn't work.
It still returns me to the pits as soon as I go anywhere other than track itself... :unsure:

Dude you have 6 FFB on the fly settings on the wheel.

I cant fly this toy. i accelerate and goes ahead,( but i think is cuz the 1st gear not because the gas??) but not to the holy sky! i did what you guys said on options.ini and set no damage.

Gas is working but plane does not take off.

Other question... can be used on Nordschleife?
