TC2000 Racing

It's ridiculous at the moment, the download links are either wrong, corrupted or impossibly slow.

Bad way to promote your software with this shoddy effort, I'm already considering saving my money instead.

AI is better than rFactor

AI is far better than rFactor imo and after trying it some more the cars are very good aswell, sounds are a bit meh in terms of transition between each different engine sound but oh well cant have everything

Just bought it

Though it has of course its similarities with rFactor, its definitly a cool game :thumb:

First impressions:

  • Large selection of touringcars that we havent seen in other games yet
  • Nice tracks, though a bit pale here and there, but super challenging and original layouts
  • Netcode is awesome. Even on South American servers there was no lag
  • Car sounds are absolute rubbish. Sounds like the Renault Meganes that you see online in the rF lobby. Hopefully this will fixed soon.
  • Nice simple and clean interface
Very RD worthy :doublethumb:

More to come

My FileFront account decided to hose up on me and not let any downloads through, so I uploaded it to Megaupload. I'll repost my FileFront links once I know their fixed.

South American Touringcars Eric. Build on the ISI rFactor engine like Arca did. Comes with a collection of 12 tracks in Sunny and (the rFactor trick) wet condition. There are plenty of cars from their 2000 and 2010 (with update) season.

As Bram said, the tracks look a bit dull to me, but are nice to drive. Handling feels ok, sounds are rubbish, but who cares. Maybe they actually sound rubbish :)
Cars look a bit like Asian touring cars, and are very nice to drive. Have not yet joined a server.

There is dedicated server support with max 30 clients.

For me buying it from Holland (buying ingame after download) it was Eur 32.

The more you play it, the more enjoyable it is.

Tracks are too bland though, there is a better version of Potero de los Funes already out there for Rfactor which I want to port into the game, does anyone know if it's possible to add tracks into TC2000? I've had no luck so far.

The sounds are a bit too muted and not varied enough, but not a million miles off how they sound in real life:

The cockpits are the biggest let-down.
