May as well join Grant and Simon for their sightseeing tour! :) (if I can keep up!!)

Sorry you seem a little disgruntled by our on-track battle last night Simon ... I enjoyed it immensely, both of us were driving hard, I stood my ground fair and square forcing you into errors and making it as difficult as possible for you to try to pass and without weaving wildly or anything of that ilk ... but isn't that a huge part of racing?

Go watch the MotoGP race with Rossi and Stoner at Laguna Seca (if you haven't seen it already) ... that was a bit wilder, but Rossi was 1+ second slower than Casey all weekend, yet come race day he got in font and held Casey at bay, knocking him off his rhythm and in the end Rossi was triumphant despite being slower in a hot lap situation ... not comparing myself to Rossi, but similar tactics with the Marcos worked very well I thought :p

I think the different cars makes with wildly differing traits makes it as Gary said, a great game of chess ...

I'm not disgruntled, You are one of the very few people who I've stuck to like glue and you have not gone off.
That was very nicely done :thumb:

Name: James Yates
Car: Seat Leon Extreme

Pencil me in - i had a lot of issues with runtime errors on this track so ill give it a try but there is a chance i cannot race. A few others have had this problem too, so there may be a few no shows :)

hmmm, they're the same track!...

i'll get a server up so we can check it online... and see how others fair... might haveta do a last minute change of venue....

Possibly the nogrip version has a corrupt file, which causes the crash?

nope - i d/ld from nogrip and instantly reloaded to rapidshare... it's the same archive... i'll give mine a thrashing later - and i've asked for the server to encourage more people to test it...

either way, i'll have a backup lined up if suzuka lets us down...

Ahhh ermmm ... :embarrassed: ... I misread the tone of your earlier posts entirely then, really sorry there Simon (and thanks for setting me straight :))

... despite not quite having the pace I would have liked, I was quite proud of my driving, and the way I held you off for so long ...

As I said originally, shame you went off, as I was hoping that a small mistake from you might bring us back together again for a bit more :fencing:

... next time eh? :thumb:

oh, go on then, Cadwell is an awesome, if tricky, track. Just glad it's not raining!

Wheeyyyy ... welcome to the mini mad house mate ... this is a great training ground IMO, and despite me having complete and utter cock-ups all over the place, I always have a great laugh and have learnt tonnes about racing online and reckon I have improved my driving massively because of these events.

Bring a bottle of beer/water/whiskey along (delete as applicable) ... as it is a long one ;)
