System requirements

Little kick. I don''t want to open a new topic.
I just want to now if this is good PC to play Race Pro.

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2x2,80GHz 3MB Box
EVGA GeForce 9500GT 512MB DDR2 PCI-E
2048 MB DDR2/800 Dimm Bulk
How much do you want to pay in total? I might be able to make a nice pc out of it.

Got this myself:
e7300 (2,66GHz)
ATi HD4850 512MB
4GB DDR2/800

And I run everything maxed out.

Okay I made a quick pc for imho kinda low cost.. This pc includes dvd drive, hard disk drive etc.

Specs:
Intel E7400 boxed
Gigabyte P31 motherboard
OCZ 800MHz 4GB memory
Samsung Spinpoint F1 320GB
Coolermaster Elite 331 case
OCZ Silencer ultra quiet 420Watts PSU
LG dvd burner
1x120mm fan (inf ront of case, there's already one installed at the back.)
Radeon HD4830

Nobody asked you Bram :giggle:
Nice piece of gear indeed for a low budget.

But Bram why were you asking about the system requirements for Race 07 you already play that game so I don't see why you would ask for the system requirements.

But I have race 07 on dvd so the box tells you the system requirements.

Minimum System Requirements:

Operating System: Windows XP
Processor: 1.7 GHz intel pentium 4 or 100% compatible
Memory: 512 MB RAM
Harddrive: 2.5 GB free harddisk space
3D accelerator: DirectX 9 compatible graphics card with 128MB memory

Recommended System Requirements:

Operating System: Windows XP or Vista
Processor: 3 GHz Intel Pentium IV or 100% compatible
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Harddrive: 2.5 GB harddisk space
3D accelerator: DirectX 9 compatible graphicscard with 512MB memory.
Nvidia 6800 or better.

DVD box information.

Nice set but your PSU might be a bit too light.
XFX website gives the info that the GFX card needs the minimum of 450 Watt power supply.
So 420 Watts might be too light for this card.

HD4830 has a TDP of 120 watts if I'm not mistaken. The same as a HD4850!! which is kinda weird, as a HD4830 runs at a lower clock. HD4850 has a max power consume of 110W following a test and HD4830 does 85W (With power circuit from HD4850).

Also this info: Click is interesting. That card should be able to run without power connector! The PCI-e bus can give a maximum of 75Watts. Than we know this:
GPU - 75W on 12V, = ~7Amps
CPU does about 60W
HDD - 15W

Also OCZ is a good brand, where the PSU of 450W is maybe a B-brand.

I run this at a 550W B-brand PSU with max 30A combined at 12V1 and 12V2.
e7300 overclocked@ 3,5GHz

Ah ok then Johan then it's a nice set at a very decent price I think.
When I get a new computer I'll be putting in a few more euros tbh for a full gaming setup.
My MSI N9800GTX blew up my power supply Antec 430 Watt I got that one replaced with an Antec 650 Watt Earthwatts PSU.

Yeah, current nvidia cards use much more power than their ati counterparts. If I'd recommended nvidia I would surely recommend a heavier PSU.

Hmm I see the new recommendation was the last post on the former page..
