Support Forum

Disappointed to read on the SimBin Dev Blog that they are looking at using Steam Forums as their Official Support Community, personally I think RD is the natural home for them.

On a slightly side note, we have closed down the forums section of our Support site http://support.raceroomracingexperience.com/ . You can of course still send us tickets for technical support via the same address and you are more than welcome to, but we felt the forum section was not what we wanted it to be. Instead, we are considering our Steam forums http://steamcommunity.com/app/211500/ & http://steamcommunity.com/app/211500/discussions/ as our official community hub and forums, while continuing to participate and browse in other Racing related communities.

And there was me thinking the guys were just giving Jay a feel of what to expect in the steam forums.. :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:..

But yes Stay on topic please guys,
Why would Jay even look to RD when we are no better than Steam thanks guys..:(
This is still miles better than the Steam Forums IMO. You know how sometimes you watch a movie and think "there's two hours I can't get back" - that's how I feel reading on the Steam forums but, hey - your mileage may vary.

We're here and we're always around.

It's just that Steam is the platform we use so considering Steam as our official forums, at least for now makes sense for us since everyone who has the game has access to the community hub on Steam while not everyone who plays R3E is in RD.

You guys don't need to use Steam forums obviously :)

You guys could have a popular and free one here for years already but seems somebody in Sweden is just not willing to allow us to run it :)

Since the RSC forums went down in 2008 SimBin has tried several different solutions to run a forum that was announced very loud and abandoned very quickly and very silent.

The foundation of a proper community is that its there to keep, not to delete and rebuild it every year.

So many good content has been lost over the years. Especially with the older titles GTR1, GTR2, GTL and the Race Series. Just a waste of time of all that have actively contributed to those defunct forums. Hence the reason why I stopped posting on the latest one.

Just my 2 cents.

Hey, all. Discussion concerning a long-term forum solution is ongoing. If the choice is made to host an official forum on a private site I have no doubt that RD will be the first pick. Having said that, it's impossible today to say what the outcome will be.

For the moment we will lean on Steam and do our best to support players through the forum they are given by default as part of the R3E community hub. But like Jay and Sonat have said already, we are here and will continue to be.
