:rotfl:
I've been saying since the first event of this kind at RD where the long distance runner was...
We are 1 month away... I see you really want to win, good, good

My experience around the Nord Loop with any of the Vettes (C6R & C5R) was in times vast, I do have many setups (some of them are on-line under another name) for all kinds of race situations :) I even have a few endurances replays with me (120 mins)... one of them has an alien driving around the Nord with full fuel under a certain time in a Vette
Even in the GTSport class there is a car there that is almost bullet prove... one just needs to look closely to the last endurance event to appreciate it :wink2:
Before you ask, I don't know what car I will be driving yet... I would like to race something different… I want to avoid it, I honestly want, but… I suspect I will go "around and around" just to “land” on it again, like it happened for Paul Ricard event. The car just adapts too well to my simracing mentality... :p
HAHAHAHA. :rotfl:

João, I don't want to win, I just want to finish and that my main issue. If I knew the Aston would finish it, I'd go for it. I prefer the Aston in terms of driveability, but...

Actually João, I raced 2 enduros at Nord, both of 2h. Both of them I did with the Koenigsegg and both of them I completed with no problems regarding the engine.

The test I did was this. I know it's subjective, but it's a nice test. I went to practice and since the pit lane, I did this. I went all the way until the 2nd gear reached it's maximun and then I went back to 1st gear. And I did that around and around until the engine breaks.

The results were (from more fragile to more resistent):
Lister (lasted less then 1km. The most fragile engine!)
Saleen (lasted 1km aprox)
Aston (lasted a little more than 1km)
Gumpert (lasted 14km)
Koenigsegg, Audi and Corvette (lasted almost the full lap, like 17/18km)
Viper (lasted the full lap, 20km)

With those results, the best car for me is the Corvette, for sure. It suits better my driving style and skills (or lack of them :))

Cya.

Sign me up for this as well, Monza should be a blast with the DTM cars. I had an excellent time in the last race, this one looks like it will be good too. I also know monza a lot better than the nurburgring GP, so hopefully I won't have to work to hard to find decent pace this week(thanks to yuri for showing me the right lines in practice forthe nurburgring over the weekend, took a good 5+ seconds off my time).

Thanks Eric for setting this up m8. Thanks to RD and all participants.
I have resolved my engine issues. I did a few pitstops offline and I think I have got it working again with (i - ignition and s - starter keys mapped).

If you have the keys mapped it turns the ignition off when you put some fuel in. So just press your ignition button followed by your starter button and it should fire straight up. Worked fine for me last night - was able to start it and rev it up while it was changing tyres.

Sorry I had to bail guys, GF was at the bus terminal and screaming on the phone. Hope its better when we live together :s

Anyways, Had a good grasp on the car, but didnt test enough to work out the bugs I felt I had in the race. Car was still bottoming out in certian places and causing a slight loss of speed on exit.

Grats to my man James. Had a killer race, and deserved the big W.

Should be seeing you guys next Sunday to see If I can reclaim DTM title :)

Keith

Absolutely 110% I am going to race this event. I dont think i have missed a friday event in a few months now. Also been spending alot less money on partying because of these events.

Also for Jason and Jim. Usually one day through the week a bunch of us get on the server and run Teamspeak and work with each other practicing. I am always willing to make a base setup for any car if you are having trouble too, and most everyone that races the Friday events posts up their setups as it is a fun friendly racing enviroment.

Anyways thanks for joining us guys, and we look forward to racing with you guys.
