First off, what a great track.

I managed to get abit of practice in on this track during the week so i was looking forward to a better performance then last week. I tried a few diff cars but settled on the Leon as it felt the best for me overall.

Come race day and for the first time in a few weeks had a car that felt great, was sitting nicely on the track and setting reasonable times.

Qualified 8th i think it was. From the prac session i was hoping for some fun tight racing but alas it was not meant to be. Thus is the world of motor racing.

Race 1. In 8th and got a great start and managed to gain 2 positions by the first corner. That sadly was the height of this race. Copped a shunt in the T2. Got back on track near the back of the pack with suspension damage, the car just would not stick on corners. Finished the rest of the 1st lap unscaved and tried to settle into a rhythm. 2nd lap, made it T5 before the straight, while trying to avoid another incident i copped another large hit that sent me out of control off into the infield, kept sliding back onto the track and then off the otherside and way out into the sand trap. I think i rejoined in last or 2nd last and my car was not driving well. Felt more like a rally car then a touring car but i managed to potter around till the 7th lap when i was heading into the pits. I slowed to enter but lost the back end and when sideways into the pit entrance where i rolled the car. After that i just limped around the rest of the race.

Race 2. Was not expecting too much as i was starting in 2nd last. I was happy as i had a new car :). Got anther great start. With incidents in the first corner i managed to avoid it all and sneak up to 8th without even realising. From here this race pretty much went as the first did and found myself at the back of the grid again before too long. I kept running and with early pits by others i got back up to 9th where i was starting to settle into a good rhythm. I pitted and got back out in 9th and i was begining to think i may come away with a mid field result for this race. Crusing nicely i think till the 10th lap from memory (Gary will now ;) ) when i had a graphics driver crash. The screen was black for a good 20 odd secs then decided to come back to a screen full of cars. I found my self at full speed slamming into the back of Gary, once again im sorry. Preceded into the outfield and nose first into the fence. Pretty much race over.

Lesson from this race day. No matter how good a setup and practice you have, the race will always surprise you.

Just looking forward now to next week where i hope i can go a race without causing a drama and maybe even be compeditive.

Once again thanks Eric and RD.

Sorry I missed this, my internet connection went down while practicing and has only just come back up. My luck has to change sometime, if it`s not the game disconnecting it`s my connection dropping, glad I am on holiday next friday, it`s getting depressing.

This will be great fun!!
The cats are my favorite, then rads, then f3000, then the handful that is the Escort V8. That said I think the Escort will be much more fun with everyone flying everywhere.

Brilliant tracks Andrew!
