Stuttering at Donington

I am not sure if it is just me, but it seems I am getting very poor performance around Donington in terms of smoothness of FPS. The game seems to stutter, particularly when moving around corners.

I have tried enabling and disabling Vsync, changing shadow settings and turning down otterhud but it seems to make no difference. According to my FPS counter, I am getting 60 FPS or more so I don't understand what the issue is. CPU and GPU temps are fine. I wonder if Donington is just not optimised?

all i know is it has something to do with the clubsport adapter. in the same boat

I managed to fix this by going into the compatibility settings:
