A message to all Drivers

If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.

Golden Rule

Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.

Track limits

No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules

Note: Please use your full real name in teamspeak. Not doing so may result in you being kicked from the server if an admin cannot identify you as a premium member.

SERVER IS UP!

This sounds like a fun one, sign me up!

I know times and such aren't to be discussed here, but do you guys usually stop for fuel/tyres in these races? No mention of a mandatory stop so I assume you can run straight through?
Fuel and tyres will survive with no stop. What compound you run and the specific amount of fuel you take will depend on your car, your style, and how aggressive you feel like being.

SERVER IS UP!

The GetMod service is now unavailable, therefore missing components will not be automatically downloaded and installed upon joining the server. The links to acquire resources that are required for this event can be found in the opening post of this thread, and below:

After spending well over an hour this will still not run ..I give up.

Mod could not be installed Error trying to install MOD. Try manual installation.

and it will still give me an error message and not allow me to join.

I have NO issues with this track or car or both in single player mod, so surely has to be server settings ?

Version 1.02 has just been released, maybe it hasn't been updated on the server?

Sign me up, gonna try the Bentley this time.
Man some of these curbs are to strong, my wheel is clipping and rattling even at 20%, maybe i have to run without feedback to protect wheel  Also zero track rules again.
Oh well could be worse the friday phillip island track looks and feels like a conversation from 15 years ago, the things we have to deal with in rf2 ...:roflmao:

This has absolutely nothing to do with our server "settings". Prior to the release of the recent update (Build 1111) for rFactor 2 there were no such issues when joining any of our servers, as far as I'm aware. In previous cases when an "error" occurred it was (more often than not) the result of a version mismatch between required resources on the client and the server; this could be resolved by simply updating the relevant component(s) at the appropriate end. In this particular case, however, I can confirm that all of the cars and the track are up-to-date on the server.

Did you try the suggestion that I made yesterday, in this post? Uninstalling the server mod via the 'Content Manager' in the rFactor 2 launcher, and deleting the '.rfmod' file (this can be found in the '<rF2_install>\Packages' directory) before attempting to join the server again worked for me and several others yesterday.

The fact that people have been able to successfully join the servers (with or without any issues) suggests this is an intermittent and unpredictable issue that is not the result of any "setting". There is no reason why any "setting" would cause this behaviour.

If you happen to encounter this error again could you please let me know and also include a screenshot as this will help me to diagnose the issue.

That being said, I have recreated the server mod (now with the updated version of the game) and restarted the server, so hopefully the problem has been resolved.
