Strange FPS stutter issues with AC

I am having strange FPS issues with AC.

My system specs:
1080ti (stock)
3770k @ 4.3Ghz
Samsung Odyssey VR Headset
Logitech DFGT (but same issue happens with MS Xbox One controller)

I can replicate the stutter best when under-steering or locking the front wheels during braking, this is when my FPS stutters really hard. Although MSI afterburner logs show a drop to 72fps it feels a lot worse in-game. MSI logs dont show any CPU or GPU throttling either.

I've tried many things with no success:
- No smoke
- All low settings
- FPS limit on/ off
- Different Nvidia Drivers
- Renaming asseto corsa drive in my documents
- Controller instead of wheel
- Uninstall/ reinstall AC deleting all document files

Any ideas for what I could try next? This issue doesnt happen with PC2 or ACC

is your headset running off a display port from GPU or HDMI 3.0 port? Does this only happen on AC?

I have to run my rift off a USB 3.0 port.

I am not sure if this is your issue, but my PC was unable to process all the data through the single USB chip (where all data to and from USB hubs run through). I added a powered PCI express USB 3.0 hub and the studders I had (with no FPS drop indicated) were remedied.

Thanks, did not think about that! I am running a USB 3.0 port so that could be the issue.

I only get this in AC as far as I can tell PC2 and ACC run fine. I'll try a PCI card and see what happens.

Just found the cause of the issue. My graphics card was plugged into the second PCIe express slot on my mobo. I switched it to the first (the one closest to CPU) and the stutter went away!
