F1 2016 Steam overlay stopped working

Hi guys! I've bought the game during the winter sale. I now have a little issue, my steam overlay stopped working from a few days... It worked before because I used to tweak my mic volume waiting for an online game... Now it doesn't work anymore. I've already checked file integrity but nothing

Have you some suggestions?

Answer to myself
I tried a few things: uninstalling and reinstalling Steam, deleted a few dlls and proceeded to verify cache integrity but nothing worked.
then I came to this https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/496881136919830460/ and even if it make no sense to me (steam Overlay works flawless with other games) it actually worked! even reverting to the usual shift-tab worked!...
But then I realized it was the Afterburn app and rivastatistic server whinc interfered with the overlay... the strange thing is that it is only with this game
