Pile of shite, race gets screwed firstly less than 10 metres after leaving my gridslot when someone bogs down with a piss poor start then lap 3 I think after going off in Sector 1 my lap doesn't get recorded putting me a lap down. Happened twice so I quit.
Have to admit though, TeamSpeak is hysterical. :)

Aargh totally screwed up that one...
Qualy went fine with a new PB for me.
Then the race started and my foot slipped of the brake pedal when braking for t2 in lap 1.
Real sorry for the mess guys.
Then had a nice drive back to 12th place, but then the phone rang.
Went off track because of that and hit a barrier real hard...end of race.

Putting this one in my 'try to forget as quickly as possible' corner...
Better luck next time.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

could not connect with the track this evening.... the more i was, uh, not connecting the more frustrating it was, the more, uh, i did not connect...

anyways... was resigned to starting from the back end for a bit of steadyasshegoes... some tomfoolery in front of me on lap 1 meant i ended up in the gravel... and got suckered by the track bug lewis mentioned in't previous post....

shame no-one picked up on this afore tonight, otherwise i coulda patched it... but i guess it takes raw talent such as mine to explore the full extent of the circuit :becky:

for those that care, this is what the pikey track builder did wrong:

here's a high shot of the corner in question with the timing mesh for sector 1 highlighted....

jerez1.jpg

here's a close up and you can see how if you take a wee detour you can miss the mesh altogether, meaning your lap doesn't get registered when you cross the start/finish... therefore you go a lap down...

jerez2.jpg

coupled with the lack of connection (with the track) and harsh injustice of life on planet earth i decided that's enough for one night... this racing lark is making me weep atm... ppffffft...

ts absolute joy though... kudos to bob for the porno/parrot soundtrack :D

Qualified 12th

Race started good till 3rd corner off i went into barriers, regrouped again and all i got was bue flag 1st warning, 2nd warning 3rd warning final warning STOP N GO even when i was letting the lads get by me. Whats the crack with that?? so annoying trying to race with blue flags coming up for nothing. So when i did pit for the stop n go caught up with matt crouch n bob miley and same again blue blue blue FLAG. packed it in couldn't race with it annoying me.

Thanks to Rd and Andrew good track enjoyed it. See you's next week

Looks like Firday 13th shone on me tonight. I wasn;t expecting much having little practice having only signed up and downloaded the track today. Did a total of 14 laps practice and put myself 25th on the grid.

Due to some very slow and messy laps from people in front of me I was able to pass and squabble my way up the field as high as 12th with some nice battles putting pressure on me for teh first 15 or so laps. Though I had lost it all when I was in the pits and came out 18th, but was happy to see people spent as long as me in there. especially when I had misjudged the fuel and had to fill up early on lap 18.

My second stint started well but I soon lost my rhythem and confidence and found myself in a couple of nice battles. I had a nice fight with Crouch for a while before we had contact near the end of the lap (it was always coming) he was much faster than me through the 2nd to last turn.

A few laps later Bob Miley caught me and I had a short fight with him and he put a nice pass on me into turn one. I thought I had it nicely covered and suddenly there he was. :)

Hung on for lucky 13th place over the line. Lots of good fights all night tonight, great fun and thanks to everyone for making it so!

Qualify: 3rd - Finish: 1st

Second row start was a treat for me and i got quite a good one, beside Ben going in to T1,unfortunatly i was the wrong side,so backed off and fell into place in 2nd and the chase was on,the car felt perfect right from the gogo, took a few laps to put a pass on Ben at the final turn and then started building whatever gap i could get up to midway for pit time,i was pleased to see both Ben and Sebastian pit right behind me.
My stop went very nice and away again with a 5+secs lead and just tried repeat the first stint, one bad moment for me was lapping Bob M.,he was either starting to get in a mess or trying to let me pass,it resulted in a situation that startled me a bit and gave me nowhere to go but into his back bumper even with some ninja braking to avoid,as i felt 100% in the clear of any kind of blame i trudged on,mistakes behind must have happened to give me very comfortable run to the end.
Big thanks all fantastic Blue Flag guys tonight, yes even you Bob m8,just some misfortune there :).
Big Thanks Andrew and RD for providing this very familiar old stomping ground track for me :D :good:.

Qualied 5th i think.. somewhere around that general area..

Had some good close battles with whom i can't remember, all i can remember is that it was close.

Had to change tyres twice. (meh) fuel once..

Tyres at the end of the race were done for, more like wrong drifting in a fwd car.

Good close, ish, racing though :becky:
