Founder: Filip Verbert and Peter Raemen

ART is founded by Filip Verbert and Peter Raemen in 2008 during the first event of the BES-league (BENELUX Endurance Series). The team finished successful in 2nd place and they decided to drive a lot of more races for the future. Unfortunately there was only 1 official race of the BES-league and the team couldn't find enough other drivers to participate in other endurance races. Filip Verbert again went back to team Simracing For Holland and Peter Raemen decided to quit simracing for a while. Filip achieved some nice successful races with team SFH and in that time he also got in contact with Ricardo Michalewski, who recently joined VRL (Vlaamse Racing League). A good relationship was born and Ricardo wanted to join the ART team as a driver and editor.
Filip and Ricardo joined some rFactor and iRacing events with big success during 2010 such as SSCA 2.4h of Daytona, 8h of Sebring with big names like Wyatt Gooden, Dany Engels and Bryan Heitkotter.
With these achievements and the start of an own ART-website, some other drivers/friends wanted to join ART to make it bigger. Wilco Hendriks, Timo Roman, Jan Verschueren and Chris Lasselin all joined our team in 2010 to make ART bigger. Unfortunately no big achievements were accomplished with this team and the name ART didn't get a breakthrough ART was in a bit of a dip. Drivers weren't racing any more and Filip Verbert decided to stop the team and went back to team Simracing for Holland.
In the middle of 2011 Ricardo Michalewski won the VRL Spring Trophy. In that period they decided to start again with the team including new fast drivers, a new website and new car livery.
Nevertheless, the solution was nearby. Filip spoke to Wim Stockmans and Mathias Van Reeth who he knows from past races on iRacing. They were happy to join the team and proved also to be very active. A month later, after the Sebring 2h race on iRacing, Kevin Vekemans also wanted to join the team. Kevin has a great race pace and proved to be very quick, completing a fantastic line-up for the current ART team.
