The Black Cup finally got underway yesterday as the series headed to Silverstone and the home race for DHR GP. Both for qualifying and race the track was damp but there were not enough water on the surface to go for wets.

Torbjörn Lindau for DMSv grabbed the pole infront of BVM's Ben Tusting with a lap of 1:50.708.

Lindau, together with the rest of the grid, couldn't do anything about the flying DHR driver Vincent Staal though who demolished the entire field to cross the line just under 40 seconds ahead of Tusting. Lindau finished 3rd another 5 seconds behind.

RPM was set to score a good amount of points as Jari Vinnari and Marcin Skrzypczak was 4th and 5th but on the penultimate lap Skrzypczak and the following Johan Pesula cought lapped traffic who fought for possitions 13 and 14. Skrzypczak tapped Ryan Mortimer (DHR Fanatec) who in return spun the Ferrari of Andreas Hultgren (TBR). Skrzypczak lost his 5th to Pesula in the carnage and later finished 9th.

Newcomers Project D had a solid race and Grégory Cogotti and Luc Mangas finished 6th and 7th with Fredrik Tackman in the DMSv2 BMW in 8th.

Despite winning the race DHR GP only got one car over the finishe line and is therefore only 6th in the standings. On top BVM and DMSv are sharing the glory of championship leaders on 46 points while RPM is 3rd followed by Project D and DMSv2.
