This Friday 8th May, the SRO Warm Up event will be an opportunity to win prizes, and challenge yourself to see how you compare to the AM qualifiers for the SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship.

With the SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship about the kick up another gear in the coming couple of weeks, we thought it would be a great idea to host a special edition race around the same circuit used for the opening round of the new championship - and thanks to the generosity of our AM Series broadcast sponsor GT Omega Racing, we will be offering a great GT Omega Classic Wheel Stand to one of our drivers who takes part and finishes the 90 minute race.

The race will be broadcast live and exclusive on our RaceDepartment YouTube channel, so as well as offering a great opportunity to hone your skills around the home of the British Grand Prix and see how you match up the the AM esport qualifiers, you get to showcase your racing prowess in front of the RD YouTube audience!

All you have to do is complete the race to be in with a chance to with this awesome prize from GT Omega Racing.

How Do I Get A Chance To Win The GT Omega Wheel Stand?
Simple. All you have to do is complete the race to be entered in the the prize draw from our AM Series broadcast sponsor GT Omega Racing. Based on your finishing position, each driver will be awarded prize draw 'tokens', with first place earning the most tokens descending to all classified finishes.

Example 40 drivers:
1st = 40 tokens
2nd = 39 Tokens
3rd = 38 Tokens
etc

Once the race has finished, each driver who crosses the finish line will be placed into a draw to win our headline prize. The winner will be contacted via PM shortly after the conclusion of the event, and announced on the RaceDepartment Social Media channels.

Will You Be Offering More Chances To Win Prizes?
Yes! This is a special event in celebration of the upcoming SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship. Anyone who registers to take part in the full championship and sets a qualification time will be in with a chance to win further prizes thanks to an incredible lineup of AM Series broadcast sponsors - both drivers and viewers of the series broadcast will also be presented with opportunities to win, on a per round basis.

When Is The SRO Warm Up Race Taking Place?

The race will be held on Friday 8th May and is open to Premium RaceDepartment members. Full event schedule can be found below:
  • Practice: 19:00 UTC (30 minutes)
  • Qualifying: 19:30 UTC (20 minutes)
  • Race: 19:55 UTC (90 minutes)

All you have to do is put your name down for a place on the grid at the official Race Event thread found HERE.

Where Can I Watch The Race Broadcast?
The SRO Warm Up race will be broadcast live and exclusive on our RaceDepartment YouTube channel from 19:45 UTC. Be sure to check out our other videos, and give us a like and subscribe!

Remember folks, although we are calling this the 'SRO Warm Up' event, the race is open to anyone with a RaceDepartment Premium membership - and regardless of where you finish, you stand an great chance of winning the GT Omega Racing prize!

We have put this event together to help our community gather more experience in racing conditions using Assetto Corsa Competizione and the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit - ahead of the opening round of the SRO E-Sport GT Series AM Championship this May 16th. RaceDepartment are proud to be broadcasting these esport events, and thanks to an incredible lineup of partners, we will have lots of cool prizes to give away during the course of both qualification and the races themselves - for drivers AND viewers.
