Spot the syntax error!

Downloaded a Renault 5 Turbo Europa Cup, the car drives beautifully, but, Content Manager keeps picking this error up:

What's wrong there? What doesn't it like?

You can't open/save those files with Notepad, it doesn't understand the characters. You'll need Notepad++ or something.

I got notepad++, opened the file, found what it didn't like and saved it and it likes it. Thanks for the input

I see, well, I changed the order of the numerical values so they were in ascending order, saved the file and it seemed to like that. The car still drives, so I'm calling that job done.

It should be fine if you run offline only.

However, if it is a file they check when you join a server, you may get kicked when going online.

Yup, Notepad can't cope but it's just the CR+LF vs. LF-only thing, so even the ever-present WordPad is up to the job

At least I know what to do if any more crop up. I can still fix autoshifts with Notepad.

I did physics with Notepad for about 3 years. Worked fine. You just can't rely on the software to do the thinking for you that way.

You open it in Notepad++ and delete the line that looks wrong.

In anything except Notepad it'll look something like this (or a blank line)

You just change it so all the lines have a | in the middle and numbers on both sides, in this case by pushing the 'enter' key ahead of that 0.5

I'm curious about how glitches like that would happen in the first place - maybe due to an unhappy mix of editors or editor modes, some saving with (or expecting) CR+LF and some with just LF?
