F1 2011 Split Screen ( Controllers Question)

Hello guys,

Is it necessary that i must have something else more than 2 keyboards to play Split-screen racing? Because I tried to play a split screen session with my friend and the game was like "waiting for player 2".. i couldn't understand what that meant.. so, please can anybody explain me this..
