F1 2011 Split-screen championship?

Hey guys, sorry if this has been answered somewhere else but looking through i couldn't see it, i was wondering if there was a split-screen championship mode a la F1 2009 on the Wii if anyone remembers it... being able to play a year in this mode with a friend is quite important to if i buy the game or not... i will be grateful if someone can answer

There kind of is.

You can choose which tracks you want to race and the points are added up from race to race. I'm not sure if you can save your progress and pick up the game where you left it, but I think that was also possible. The things you can't do in splitscreen is practice sessions and qualifying, or at least I haven't found out how to do that. From what I know you simply get placed on the grid according to the team you drive with, i.e. Red Bull or Ferrari get placed in the first rows, whereas HRT or Lotus come last.
