The shifts were also ok, so if the game punish this, It wouldn't be realistic.

Guys like you are the reason why Codemasters released 3 ******** [mod edit] unrealistic games in a row!
Guys that like those "setups" and all that!
Guys that put up lap times in time trial which mean nothing! In GP mode most of those guys suck so damn bad when they don't have the time trial super grip.


You call your way of shifting realistic?
I'm tellin you, you are a ******** [mod edit] with no idea about F1! SORRY MAN!
Just compare your lap to Buttons pole lap in 2012.
After 3 corners you"ll hear how damn wrong you are.

You can't even hear 1 single gear while you're shifting down, it's just one long weird sound.
And then you are finished with it much much earlier than real F1 would.

On Buttons lap you'll hear that he's half that fast with shifting and he's shifting into the corners and finishes
near the apex.


Every real F1 engine would blow up after 1 corner if you would drive the car!!



And those comments like your last will make sure that Codemasters thinks they made a superb game.
Result? F1 2013 will be bullshit like the 3 titles before.

Hey Bram - Nice setup. I was able to pull a 1:49.6xx in a Sauber in Championship mode with it. This is the first time I've not started with Tom's setup. His just seemed to have too much wing. Thanks!
 
Gotta agree with chris the downshifting in this game is broken. Makes not using ABS pointless as it gives massive rear braking with no lockup or engine failure, especially in the wet. I cant/wont do it as it doesnt work in real life or any other decent driving sim, i'll stick to shifting brake bias back and using the brake pedal to slow down like real f1 drivers do.

I agree in essence. But...
The bad down shifting too excessively punished in the practice/qualifying. (suddenly destroyed the engine)
I think the Race is very good agreement with the punishment of real life. (Somebody take a strong braking distance behind you, he pushing down you from the line and you shifting down too soon, smoke comes out of the engine, worse performance, but you can go on)
Nothing is real in the TT, so there is no penalty.

One secret: the early down shifting is necessary for the fast lap, because we want to take a shorter braking distance, we need to have a little engine braking assistance.

Realistic or unrealistic in that, locking up to the rear wheel or not, if you shifting down too early, too fast.
Definitely noticeable while cornering the locking up at the rear wheels, in the braking point/straight line isn't noticeable (noticeable the plus slowdown but not locking up), this should be improved. This is my opinion.

Nobody knows here, how the work a real F1 cars. No one knows the bad down shifting, what will be the consequences. It's just a game, don't expect miracles from this.

We need to show our speed in the game, based on the game of the requirements.

I wanted to see if this setup would work on a Marussia car and it did brilliantly so thanks for it. Brakes tended to lock up on the 2nd last corner because i was going too fast but other than that it felt great.
