Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
Can't figure out how to drive this car but please, sign me up! :)
It's a training car, designed to teach good habits. I believe you should try to be as smooth as possible. Jumping on the brakes last possible second will most likely not be the way. Slow in, hit the apex and get it straight asap. Try to keep a tiny bit of gas on as much as you can, then ease off the gas to get a bit more turn in if needed.

Not that I know much about it, if I'm honest. However, I was asking my buddy @Stuart Thomson about driving slower "momentum" type of cars - he said "It's not about who gets on the brakes last, it's who can get on the gas earliest". Clever boy is Stuart. ;)

Thanks! I'll try to get some more practice before the race. See if I can apply some of what you said and maybe not end up last. ;)

Hi Craig
Just got home from work, wasted:thumbsdown:
Did some practise yesterday 4+ sec to slow
and a lot off road sessions. Don´t want to ruin some ones race tonight.
So I drop out , sorry about it:( see you all soon

Thanks for tonight's race @Craig Dunkley , and congrats to the podium guys for both races. Thanks too to all for fair racing, some great battles went on!

Trying to be super-smooth is something I struggle with; essential with this car.... but for a nice, err, scruffy, sideways contrast:whistling:.... how about joining up for tomorrow night's race guys?:) https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/classic-multiclass-donington-1938-thursday-3-oct-2019.173529/

That has to be the worst race I have been in, from my point of view.:(
Would have done better if I had not turned up. Probably got a higher finish.:(
I managed about 5 or 6 laps, total, without spinning, the rest were all varying degrees of
being a ballerina.
I must still thank @Craig Dunkley for putting the race on. And congratulations to the podiums.
I thought the Alfa was difficult to handle, this soap box was just unpredictable.
Can’t wait for Bon fire night, I will putting this :poop: thing :poop: in the place of Guy Fawkes.
I want to say I enjoyed it, but it was purgatory from start to finish.
Probably should say from last place to last place.:O_o:
