This feels good with the current, custom no7 .wav I am using.
Andre for the "add extra tone" is this tone changeable, does it use no.3 (engine beat 1)?

These additions will improve SSW "engine enjoyment" a great deal for so many people.
Great work so far...

I opened Beta fine.. Avast checked app and no issue.

Opened Beta from my desktop to find a update version prompt.
Clicked to update and Avast security blocking it !/!?

Been to SSW and downloaded from there but still won't open App saying App can not be started contact vendor.

So after a couple of hours playing about, gotta say this is a GREAT addition.
Not sure what others may think but I would like even more energy for the "Extra Tone"

Please confirm if we can alter or change this...

I think one more try may help and choose "Start Anyway" (or something like that) option in Avast while Avast is awaiting results from their labs.

Thank you, sir :)

What's the problem? Increase sample 17 amplitude.

I was looking in the base folder but think I mistakenly at the time went into my 2 channel folder and not the 6 (DOH). As clearly it has updated with no7 and no.17 thanks.

Will have a play about, for me it needs a bit more gusto.
I am using SSW with EQ boosted audio-tactile via specialist software EQ. Some cars its a bit masked with audio-tactile also doing its thing.

So Malwarebytes decides it wants to update I proceed
Upon reboot I try SSW and get the Windows Alert

I restore the file like before
I try to launch SSW

Get this

Selecting Shakers restarts but does not work.
ASIO device is not detecting hardware.

Please advise..

Exception 0x8889000E usually means that SimShaker - Wheels can't take exclusive control on the sound card. Check if another instance of SSW is running, reboot the PC, something like that.

Think I found the solution and had an issue like this one time before.
For benefit of others....

SSW select card area was greyed out.
When I tried to tick box for "Shakers" SSW would restart but with a card error and still again the card selection area was greyed out.

What worked for me was to go into sound options and switch my primary audio to the soundcard SSW was using. Then restart SSW, set to 6 channels (as thats what I use) and ensure my ASIO4ALL was set to the Asus DGX soundcard I use for SSW.

Close SSW launcher and then I then set Windows 10, primary card to what I use.
Up and running again...

Thank you for sharing that Mr Latte.
I think SSW tried to use the default sound card but couldn't take exclusive control on it. Could you please check is it allowed in your primary card settings?
Windows Sound -> Playback devices -> [Your Device] -> Propeties -> Advanced tab

I had this enabled for my Asus DGX (SSW card) but not my primary audio Soundblaster card.

Thanks
I had this enabled for my Asus DGX (SSW card) but not my primary audio Soundblaster card.

Chaps, New Windows 10 update now swaps this priority over every time I boot up, so system - Playback Device - Make Priority Sound Card Default. Don't know why but it just never sticks !! ??

I think of it from time to time, but that is certainly not in the nearest plans.

Yeah suppose that may be quite an undertaking but was curious.

Think you pretty much have nailed the RPM feature. It does just about all we needed.
Works well with the audio-tactile, so the user can have a nice RPM felt the sensation that may have been missing but still get the feel/character of each individual car.

Here are two things Id still like to see that I think can further help improve the software.
Wonder what others think of or if they agree?

  • Mute All Effects On/Off (single button)
  • Ability to use different wav for small bumps & large bumps (this may create greater variation in felt sensation)
