cannot drive with it...at least on lotus
absolutely no grip in the front and a lot problems in getting the curvs.
tried it with frontwing 3 and rear 2 and its a little better

Yea this setup doesn't seem to work with "bad" cars such as the Lotus or the Virgin. What i did was set the spoilers to 4/3 (front, back) and increased the suspension to 2/2. After that it was at least good enough for #14 in qualifying.

here is my setup with the lotus,i got the poll with this setup, then the race was a wet race, and i cruised to victory by 23.53 over hamilton. i also was awarded the achievement clean sweep for getting the fastest times in each sector during qualifying.
let me know what you guys think after you try it.

you must be playin on the lowest difficulty level to make that setup work for you and to win with that margin

  • dreamweaver1984

im not sure why you say that would be the case due to the setup, i did my best to find a good setup to run the lotus car in career mode, im not sure why the difficulty would matter. for the record im on the hard difficulty. i dont find this game to be difficult, also, the win was prolly easier due to the rain imo.

Hard is not the difficulty level its the level of assists the difficult levels are amateur, intermediate, professional, and legend... the lotus as in real life just isn't competitive enough to come anywhere near 1st place on higher levels IMO

For the record, I was able to podium with the OP's setup in a Lotus. At first it seemed pretty bad but after I spent time on it and learned to "tame the beast" nobody else on the circuit had a chance.

does it matter what diff i did it on, fact was we needed a better setup for the lotus, which is what i provided. the diff only influences the other drivers, in the manor your speaking. with my setup, you have a better car regardless of the rest of the drivers.

this is my Lostus setup for this track. i can make 1.32 lap with this and i dont have much R&D upgrades..
tell me what you think about it after a try ;)

Cheers for the setup, reflect

I made a subtle change which was change the ballast to 50/50 - it made the car a bit easier to handle for my driving style. Anyone finding it a little slippery - I recommend doing that :)

In my fairly slow Lotus I qualified on pole, Legend AI - 1:31.7

Any tips for sector 3? In my quali lap I was purple in sectors 1 and 2, but my 3rd sector times were consistently 2 or 3 seconds off the pace which meant my time only earned me 5th on the grid

Not sure where sector 3 begins, but with the right line - there are some really quick corners - are you lifting too much on those perhaps? I flick down 1 gear (6th) on the quick right-hand flick with the wall on the left (Do not break, clip the curb), then full throttle round the left hander up to the right/left slow turn.

Also - penultimate turn and final turn - penultimate turn take nice and wide on entry and you can go thru in 3rd gear fairly quick - faster than you think, then stay SUPER tight round the tight turn and at this point, focus and watch for the exit cos if you get that right, the long drag up to the start/finish (and for the next lap too) is done with as fast as poss.

This worked for me driving for Lotus,

I was getting between 12th and 7th in practice, changed to this set up and got pole in all qualies and first in the race.

Thanks Reflectingod ;-)
