I still have difficulty and need to clarify: I just grab the original shaft like this and turn counter-clockwise really hard, right?
It's not moving.
rightly tightly lefty loosly
so turn anticlock
they are threadlocked on and can be tight
p s have you any mole grips the grips your using look like they are not gripping enough
If you unscrew the gear knob, doesn't the top end of the shaft have two flats on it, making it easier to grip?
It does, as well as a small hole in the shaft you could slide an Allen key or similar through to break like a T-Handle.
Oh. I will try that.
I was about to get one of those torque multipliers like you use for centerlock wheels.
Even newer design now completely stainless steel and polyamide
so all will be this way now, no polished alluminium but annodised alluminium is also available if you prefer to stainless.
plenty made up
What's the cost of one of these new models posted to Canada?
£20.50 by paypal friend
Cheers Nobby, I'll shoot you a PM this week.
Have many knobs ready to post.
Got my short shifter this afternoon, it made it across the Atlantic in good form. Thanks Nobby! Very possibly arrived much earlier in the week as I'd not checked the mail until today. Had a few hours with it this evening and it's excellent. I found I missed far less shifts and it seems that the box feels tighter, I really dig it. Cheers!
Hi, any news on the knob I paid for last Tuesday? See my pms. Thanks.
should be with you if any time soon
